Legion Go 2 has sparked serious discussions among gamers, and the reason is the new price. The device, which was supposed to be one of the most powerful on the market, reaches $2000 in some configurations. This makes it significantly more expensive than its main competitor, the ROG Xbox Ally X.
For comparison, the main competitor, the ROG Xbox Ally X, costs about $999, which is about half that amount. This is a huge difference for the portable PC gaming systems segment, where price often becomes a decisive factor when choosing.
Legion Go 2 tries to justify this cost with its characteristics. The device offers an 8.8-inch OLED screen, up to 32 GB of RAM, wide expansion capabilities, detachable controllers, and a built-in stand. However, the problem is that the gap in terms of pure performance is not that big. Both devices are based on modern AMD chips and offer similar performance in games.
As a result, the question arises about the feasibility of such a high price. Many players believe that at the current rates, Ally X offers a much better price-to-performance ratio, while Legion Go 2 turns into a gadget for a narrow group of enthusiasts. The Lenovo novelty looks like a premium device in the full sense of the word - powerful, but also expensive.
