First Look at Pyrois from Zenless Zone Zero 3.0
Developers in ZZZ 3.0 will show the awakening of the power that was hidden in Phaeton's body.
The creators of Zenless Zone Zero have started teasing content for update 3.0. One of the new characters is in the spotlight.
miHoYo (HoYoverse) presented the first teaser for Pyrois [Phaeton]. A full description of the gameplay mechanics is not yet available:
The burn from the sun-tempered reins will remain on the skin until the charioteer awaits the promised golden chariot.
After that, the developers published several more teasers and added that after a “series of exciting and dangerous adventures,” the mysterious power hidden in Phaeton’s body took on a form — and now it can be “summoned in battle as a separate combat unit.”
They also talked about the combat form:
In the upcoming adventure, proxies will fight in a completely new way. By summoning the ethereal aberration Pyrois in battle, proxies will also be able to feel everything Pyrois feels and fight alongside him. Of course, Pyrois will also protect proxies from dangers during battle.
And they mentioned Pyrois's mechanics in “sandbox mode”:
Pyrois has an incredibly keen perception of the aether. Special ethereal phenomena you encounter during exploration will also open up new possibilities for you. By taking control of Pyrois, proxies will gain access to special exploration methods. New gameplay opportunities await you, proxies!
The release of update 3.0 for Zenless Zone Zero is expected in June 2026.
