The developers of The Blood of Dawnwalker, a project led by former The Witcher 3 game director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, have shared new details about the game. One of the main differences from the team's previous work will be a strict time limit that directly affects the plot's development.

The protagonist, a character named Coen, has only 30 days to save his family from the vampire lord Brencis. However, as producer Dorota Rutkowska explained, the story doesn't end there: "The game won't end – only the circumstances will change." According to senior level designer Maciej Wiśniewski, at this point, the world itself begins to play a key role.

While the developers haven't revealed all the details, it's already clear that such a structure opens the way for many possible outcomes. For example, the player might not be able to save their family or even consciously abandon this goal. Entire factions, including the resistance, can also be ignored. In theory, this could lead to unexpected results – even to Coen himself taking Brencis's place and becoming the new vampire lord in the Vale Sangora region.

In addition to non-linear storytelling, the game will feature a dynamic weather system, already demonstrated in open-world segments. Player decisions will affect not only the plot but also the environment: for example, killing a blacksmith will cause his forge to close permanently, forcing players to seek alternatives.
