The Blood of Dawnwalker's Duration Turned Out Longer Than Developers Initially Expected

The Blood of Dawnwalker from Rebel Wolves studio turned out to be significantly larger than initially anticipated during early development stages.

As creative director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz stated, the team initially aimed for a playthrough duration of about 40 hours. However, as the game was filled with content and testing began, it became clear that the actual completion time had significantly increased. Currently, the average is between 50 and 70 hours — depending on the playstyle, difficulty level, attention to world exploration, and gear progression.

According to the developer, even within the team, results vary greatly: some employees completed the game in about 50 hours, while others spent closer to 70. This is due to how thoroughly players explore the environment and interact with additional mechanics.

For comparison, The Witcher III: Wild Hunt on average required about 51.5 hours to complete the main storyline, although full completion of all content could take up to 170 hours.
