Subnautica 2 creators showed new gameplay and thanked players for their support - it helped the team through difficulties
The launch of Subnautica 2 is getting closer. The developers continue to show various elements of the game before the early access release.
Unknown Worlds Entertainment is preparing to launch Subnautica 2 in "early access." The developers have published a new dev diary with gameplay footage and talked about the project.
In this game, they will present more biomes, creatures, leviathans, vehicles, and craftable items than in the previous Subnautica launched in "early access."
The starting biomes will be fully available for exploration and offer "many hours of gameplay" – both for single players and those playing in multiplayer mode. The developers will not only add new content but also continue to work on optimizing the game.
Unknown Worlds Entertainment thanked the community for their support:
The game has been years in the making, and as you know, the team has been through a lot. But let me tell you something: despite all the difficulties, our goal has always remained the same – to present you with the best possible version of Subnautica. In difficult moments, two things supported us: first, the excitement of working on a new part, that what we got was truly special. Second – it's you, your endless enthusiasm and inspiration motivated us to create a project worthy of being called Subnautica.
Subnautica 2 is scheduled for release on May 14. The game is expected to spend 2-3 years in "early access," but the timing may be adjusted. The price will be $30 (regional prices have not yet been announced).
