"The Most Brutal Marvel Project": First Reviews of "The Punisher: The Last Kill" Special Episode Appear Online

Marvel Television showed journalists and bloggers the special episode "The Punisher: The Last Kill," after which initial impressions appeared on social media.

Most viewers agreed that the project turned out to be extremely "adult" by MCU standards. Reviews praise the brutal action, abundance of gore, and heavy emotional tone. The final act, a bloody massacre in the style of Garth Ennis's comics, is particularly highlighted.

Jon Bernthal is cited as the main strength of the special episode. According to reviewers, he delivered one of the best versions of Frank Castle in the character's entire on-screen history.

However, there were some complaints. Some viewers believe that the special episode lacked runtime. The duration is 49 minutes, although an hour was previously announced. Because of this, the story rushes too quickly through important themes, new characters, and Castle's internal conflicts, without having time to explore them in depth.
