The "Yellowjackets" star admitted that she is not very familiar with the Marvel universe, but is ready to consider participating in the project if the story turns out to be "meaningful."

Actress Sophie Thatcher ("Yellowjackets," "The Boogeyman") commented on rumors that she might play Rogue in the upcoming "X-Men" reboot from Marvel. In an interview with Josh Horowitz, she admitted that she sees fan tags and art on social media, but is still not very familiar with the world of mutants.

"Are those the blue people? Oh, I'm going to get a lot of hate for saying that [laughs]. Well, Jennifer Lawrence in blue makeup... Mystique. I'm actually open to offers. Always. I just need to make sure it's the right story. Especially when it comes to such a huge franchise. I want the project to have some meaning, not just promote violence and shock content."

There are many unconfirmed rumors surrounding the "X-Men" reboot, which is being worked on by director Jake Schreier and "Beef" writers Lee Sung Jin and Joanna Calo. Earlier, insiders tipped Odessa A'zion for the role of Rogue. There were also rumors about Sydney Sweeney as Emma Frost. There were also reports that Brad Pitt and Rebecca Ferguson could be considered for major roles in future Marvel projects.

There are no official details about the film yet. Marvel's attention is currently focused on upcoming blockbusters: "Spider-Man: A New Day," "Avengers: Doctor Doom," and "Avengers: Secret Wars." These films are expected to conclude Phase Six of the MCU, while the "X-Men" reboot is set to be the central starting film of Phase Seven – the so-called "Mutant Saga."
