"X-Men," "Avengers," "Star Wars," and Kingdom Hearts - Insider Reveals Expected D23 Announcements

Disney will announce many anticipated projects across its franchises.

Insider Daniel Richtman revealed what announcements and trailers Disney is preparing for the D23 festival. The event takes place in Anaheim from August 14 to 16, and the company will present its main new releases during the large Disney Entertainment Showcase.

According to Richtman, viewers can expect many announcements regarding Disney films, series, and other projects. The main Marvel news should be the reboot of "X-Men." The studio may officially present the film and reveal the new cast of the mutant team. However, Richtman previously reported that Marvel had last-minute difficulties with casting.

Richtman also listed four projects whose new trailers might be shown at D23:

• "Avengers: Doctor Doom";
• "Frozen 3";
• "Vision's Quest";
• "Star Wars: Starfighter."

According to the insider, the trailers for "Avengers" and "Vision's Quest" will appear online after the presentation. Other videos may remain exclusive to festival attendees.

A separate major announcement is being prepared for Kingdom Hearts. The official franchise panel will begin on August 15 at 11:30 PM Moscow time. According to Richtman, it is currently unknown which project will be presented: Disney may share news about Kingdom Hearts IV or announce an adaptation in the form of a film or series.
