You can play the new Deponia for free on Steam - about survival on a ruthless planet
Many players know the Deponia franchise from point & click games (quests) about the adventures of Rufus, who tried to escape from the giant garbage dump "Deponia". However, a new project in a different genre is currently under development, which can be tried out before its full release.
Recently, Daedalic Entertainment and AtomicTorch Studio reminded players about Surviving Deponia. The developers announced the start of a new testing round. In this game, the creators suggest making your way through ruthless Deponia and surviving – building, crafting, and defeating enemies:
Seven years ago, we said: “Goodbye, Deponia.” Since then, our beloved garbage planet has managed to turn into a Mad Max-esque nightmare: Elysium, the floating bastion of high society, crashed onto Deponia, causing a severe water shortage. Its inhabitants changed the planet and established a new order. Survive in the new ruthless conditions, meet old and make new friends, and start paving your way through Deponia's mountains of trash!
Surviving Deponia does not yet have a precise release date; the release is planned for 2026. The developers are going to conduct another round of testing "later this year" and add new content.
You can add Surviving Deponia to your Steam wishlist by following this link. To participate in the playtest, you need to click the "Request Access" button – usually, the application is approved instantly.
Earlier, Daedalic Entertainment launched another round of giveaways for the first part of Deponia on PC via Steam.
