Players will then be invited to evaluate the contestants' works.

Recently, the developers of Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord released a free add-on for the game – a set of tools to help mod creators. Now, TaleWorlds Entertainment has decided to hold a competition in conjunction with well-known mod resources ModDB and Nexus Mods.

The competition is called “War Sails Modding Competition” and will run until November 22. More than 30,000 euros are planned to be distributed among the participants.

Participants are invited to choose one of the categories for their project:

  1. “Conversion Mod Contest” — authors are invited to create conversion mods that utilize the features of the War Sails add-on. For example, participants can transfer naval gameplay to different eras or worlds.
  2. “3D Art Contest invites” — players are invited to try their hand as shipbuilders and create “anything from humble boats and merchant vessels to mighty warships.” The ship presented in this category can be from any era, culture, etc.
  3. “Scene Design Contest” — participants are invited to create scenes of “naval raids.”

At the end of November, the developers plan to hold a community vote — players will be able to review the modifications submitted to the competition. The announcement of the winners is expected early next year.

Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord and the War Sails add-on have also received technical patches designed to fix various bugs.
