Naughty Dog Completes Motion Capture for Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet

News

The studio wants to show players the current state of the project as soon as possible.

Naughty Dog has officially completed the main motion capture work for Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet. The studio announced this on social media, publishing a photo of lead actress Tati Gabrielle in a motion capture suit with a prop weapon.

The developers still have a significant amount of work ahead, including animation, programming, staging, polishing, and other production stages.

However, Naughty Dog's history allows for an approximate estimation of possible timelines. For example, motion capture filming for The Last of Us Part II concluded in April 2019, and the game itself was released in June 2020 — approximately 14 months later.

If Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet follows a comparable production schedule, the release could theoretically take place around the third quarter of 2027.
