After 2 years, DeathSprint 66 was cracked - the game was tied to Proxima Anti-Cheat

The game used several protection systems at once.

The RUNE group recently reminded us of their existence. The hackers suddenly presented a full Denuvo crack in Assassin's Creed Mirage: they removed this DRM, and also removed VMProtect (virtual machine) from the game.

Soon, RUNE returned with a new crack. This time, they announced that they had dealt with the protection of the game DeathSprint 66. The game used not only the standard Steam protection system, but also other technical solutions.

According to the hackers, they untied DeathSprint 66 from Proxima Anti-Cheat (this system is used to detect hacks and other actions by players). They also noted that "game code, IAT, and TLS were fully restored".

The hackers explained their decision to crack this project by the fact that DeathSprint 66 was released a long time ago — in September 2024 — and there was no full pirated version online until now.

RUNE did not specify which game they plan to crack next. They positioned their Denuvo "crack" in Assassin's Creed Mirage as a "proof of concept".

Another, more famous Denuvo cracker under the nickname voices38, also plans to continue working — he was not intimidated by the recent lawsuit.
