Famous Sony franchise is back. Everybody's Golf: Hot Shots started with the worst ratings in the series
PlayStation Studios has many series that for a long time defined the face of Sony consoles, but were then consigned to oblivion. One of these projects was Everybody's Golf, known in Japan as Hot Shots.
The announcement of a new installment - Everybody's Golf: Hot Shots - took place at Nintendo Direct. The surprise was twofold: the franchise is returning after 8 years, the development is being handled not by PlayStation Studios, but by Bandai Namco, and the premiere took place at a Nintendo presentation, not at State of Play. Everybody's Golf: Hot Shots
Now you can evaluate the work of the HYDE studio, the authors of Digimon Survive. The result turned out to be far from ideal. Everybody's Golf: Hot Shots received the lowest average scores in the history of the series (not counting spin-offs like Everybody's Tennis). 72% is noticeably lower than the franchise standards. Weak interest is also confirmed by the numbers: the PC release gathered only 2241 players.
On the one hand, the figure is good for a niche, long-forgotten brand. But Bandai Namco and Sony were clearly counting on more.
