Clair Obscur Expedition 33 fans are not thrilled with the Grammy's decision, and neither are some industry representatives.
The Grammy nominees were recently revealed online. Many who played Clair Obscur Expedition 33 expected the project to not only make the list, but also take home the award, but something went wrong.
As far as we know, the publisher of Clair Obscur applied for two nominations at once, but in both cases the game "flew by."
The reason for the refusal to nominate Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is still unknown, some are building theories that the origin of the French composer is to blame.
Austin Wintory, composer of Assassin's Creed, Abzu, and the game Sword of the Sea, which was nominated for a Grammy, drew attention to the incident.
The creator stated that he would trade places with the author of the music for Clair Obscur:
Congratulations to my friends and thank you to the Recording Academy for including Sword of the Sea on the Grammy 2026 nominee list! I'm sorry that Expedition 33 is not among them. I would gladly trade places with them.
