Most of the fixes were for weapon balance.
Team NINJA has released a day-one update for Nioh 3, addressing balance, combat system, bosses, and network code.
Most of the fixes were for weapon balance. A number of martial arts have been buffed, including techniques for swords, dual blades, axes, tonfa, kusarigama, hatchets, and staves. At the same time, some skills have been weakened - mainly by reducing damage to ki or overall damage, in order to avoid skewing the effectiveness of individual builds.
Individual martial arts that were too effective in Living Weapon mode have also been weakened: elemental damage has been reduced and restrictions have been introduced on the repeated use of certain techniques in a row.
The patch fixes dozens of issues in the combat system - from incorrect animations and move triggers to situations where the player took damage from themselves. Boss fights have also been refined: cases of going outside the arena and the inability to use various exploits have been eliminated.
Team NINJA has fixed many bugs in network play: from falling through the map and freezing on the loading screen to incorrect loss of amrita and incorrect display of friends.
