Unlike competitors, Intel has made the technology available even on budget video cards and integrated graphics of previous generations.
Intel has released driver 32.0.101.8509 and officially added XeSS 3 Multi-Frame Generation support for Arc Alchemist and Battlemage video cards. Previously, the function only worked on the latest Panther Lake solutions, now it has become available to owners of previous generations of graphics.
Against the background of competitors, this looks like a strong step. NVIDIA's multi-frame generation is only available on RTX 50, while RTX 40 supports standard frame generation. AMD does not yet have an analogue of MFG.
The technology inserts up to three generated frames between two rendered ones, which greatly increases FPS in supported games. Previously, enthusiasts had already activated MFG on Alchemist and Battlemage by copying DLL files from drivers for Panther Lake, now the function works officially.
The performance increase is noticeable even on entry-level models, including the Arc A380. In 4X mode, the input delay increases, but at 2X and 3X it remains within a comfortable level for single-player projects.
