Resident Evil Requiem Boosts Sales - Capcom Changes Forecast
After the game achieved a significant sales milestone, Capcom announced that the success of Resident Evil Requiem has increased "net sales, operating income, ordinary income, and net income," allowing it to "exceed the previously announced forecast."
Ahead of the report for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, Capcom raised its revenue forecast to ¥195.3 billion (approximately $1.2 billion) from the previous ¥190 billion (approximately $1.19 billion). A year earlier, the company reported ¥169 billion (approximately $1 billion).
Operating income is expected to be ¥75 billion (approximately $470 million) compared to the previous ¥73 billion (approximately $460 million). Ordinary income is ¥74.1 billion (approximately $465 million) compared to ¥70 billion (approximately $440 million). Earnings per share rose to ¥130.29 (approximately $0.82) from ¥121.93 (approximately $0.77).
Capcom noted that the "widespread recognition" of Resident Evil Requiem also boosted sales of previous installments. Other segments, including arcade machines and entertainment equipment, also performed well.
Capcom previously announced that Resident Evil Requiem has sold 7 million copies since its February release on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2.
