Even GTX 1650 can handle it: Neverness to Everness developers showed how to optimize UE5
Chinese free-to-play games often stand out for good optimization. Now, the released NTE confirms this.
Unreal Engine 5 is not usually associated with high performance and running on low-end devices. But Hotta Studio shows that with proper development, it is possible.
Even in a complex urban environment, NTE runs at 1080p on graphics cards like the GTX 1650 (4 GB VRAM), as seen in Karan Benchmarks tests. However, the game requires a lot of RAM – the studio recommends a minimum of 16 GB, and preferably 32 GB.
The project also performs well at high settings (Cinematic). At 1440p on an RTX 5050 with DLSS Balanced, the game delivers over 75 FPS. In native 1440p (with DLAA) – about 50 FPS. On an RTX 5050, 4K with DLSS Performance can also be run.
This result is attributed to the approach of Chinese developers, who are focused on the mobile market. Games are initially created with low-end hardware and strict optimization in mind.
