Capcom entrusted Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen to the man who saved the first part

Capcom confirmed that Kento Kinoshita, the author of the original Dark Arisen expansion for the first Dragon's Dogma, has become the director of Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen.

After Hideaki Itsuno left Capcom in 2024, many believed that Dragon's Dogma 2 would not receive significant post-release support. The announcement of Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisen dispelled these fears.

The development of the expansion is led by Kento Kinoshita, who was responsible for Dark Arisen for the first part. Many players consider this expansion to be what turned a good game into a truly outstanding one.

Dark Arisen largely echoes the ideas of its predecessor. The expansion will add a separate high-level area, Norgon, with new monsters and a random loot system. Players will have to collect relics to receive rare rewards.

The DLC includes 12 new dangerous dungeons scattered across the map, with unique rewards.
