Cailee Spaeny Becomes Favorite for Rogue in New "X-Men" - Insider

Insiders continue to share details about the upcoming "X-Men" reboot.

Insider MyTimeToShineHello reported that Cailee Spaeny, star of the film "Alien: Romulus," has become the main contender for the role of Rogue in the "X-Men" reboot — the actress has caught the eye of both Marvel Studios and the film's director, Jake Schreier.

This information was later confirmed by journalist and insider Jeff Sneider, but it is unknown whether Spaeny has received an official offer or if negotiations have begun. Marvel Studios has not officially revealed any cast members yet and has not commented on the numerous rumors circulating around the casting of the new mutant team.

Previously, Odessa A'zion, Margaret Qualley, and Indi Navarrette were also named as possible contenders for the role of Rogue. The latter confirmed a meeting with Schreier but did not disclose which project they discussed.

The premiere of the new "X-Men" is rumored to be expected in 2028.
