SUNNY SIDE UP studio has released the final version of Little Witch in the Woods and presented a post-release support plan for the coming year.
Developers from SUNNY SIDE UP have released the full version of the life simulator Little Witch in the Woods. The project left early access three years after its initial release and now includes a completed story campaign, the ending of the story, and a large-scale content update.
Along with the release, the authors released patch version 5.0.9.0. The game has been supplemented with a new area, "Star Sea Cave" — a dungeon with unique flora, fauna, materials for potions and sweets. A new segment of the village has appeared with four residents and five cats, as well as new furniture items, main and side quests, village restoration missions, and repeatable tasks from NPCs.
The game has acquired an improved interface, a tutorial replay function, and a new dialogue system with marks for already selected lines. In addition, the balance has been reworked: prices have been changed, new items have been added, and tasks and tool characteristics have been reworked.
The developers have confirmed support for saves from early access and published a roadmap. Another update is planned by the end of 2025, and a major update with memory collection and the "flowering delight" event will be released in the first quarter of 2026. In the future, a free story addition is expected, scheduled for release in the 3-4 quarter of 2026.
At the time of release on Steam, the game has collected more than 7400 user reviews, 89% of which are positive. In the Russian region, the cost is 627 rubles. A 10% discount is valid until September 29 — the game can be picked up for 564 rubles.
Little Witch in the Woods tells the story of a young witch Ellie, sent to practice in a forest village. Players have to collect ingredients, brew potions, complete tasks for residents, and interact with talking animals. The project was inspired by games like Stardew Valley and Spiritfarer.
