Activision has clarified the release details for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. Unlike other major games, the company has opted out of early access for those who pre-ordered. All players will start the match on November 14. The release date is final, and there are no plans for delays.
The main goal of the developers is to protect the multiplayer from cheaters, especially on PC. Black Ops 7 will feature a new Ricochet Anti-Cheat security system, similar to those already used in Battlefield 6. According to Activision, the game will be one of the most protected in the genre.
Ricochet works at the system level, so running Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 on PC will require TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot to be enabled. These features are present on most motherboards released since October 2014. The game simply won't launch without them.
Activision has also published a video tutorial showing how to check if TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot are enabled in Windows.
