In the near future, the GameMT EX5 portable console will be released with a MediaTek Helio G81 processor, Mali-G52 MC2 graphics chip, one stick and an unusual physical switch resembling a kitchen timer.
GameMT, a company specializing in the production of inexpensive portable game consoles and retro handhelds, has unveiled a trailer for an interesting device called the EX5.
The portable device is equipped with a MediaTek Helio G81 processor and a Mali-G52 MC2 graphics chip. Paired with them are 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of built-in memory. Plus, this novelty has a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 × 1080.
Judging by the video, the EX5 supports cloud gaming, Android games, and ES-DE with Pegasus frontends. The console is equipped with the usual set of controls for portable gaming devices, with one exception — it only has one analog stick, located on the left.
Instead of the second right stick, the developers added an interesting “Performance” switch. You can choose one of three performance modes: Performance, Balance, and “Pwrsave-Auto”.
It is not very clear why GameMT employees placed a physically rotating knob on the front panel, which looks like a kitchen timer, instead of a completely software solution.
It is not yet known when exactly the GameMT EX5 will go on sale, but the console is expected to be released in the near future.
