Take-Two Head Hints at L.A. Noire Return
The original game was released in the now distant year of 2011.
Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick hinted at a possible return of the detective series L.A. Noire. According to him, the company is interested in developing its franchises, although there are no specific announcements yet.
Zelnick made the statement during an interview at the iicon event in Las Vegas. When asked by journalist Jenny Maas about the future of the series, he briefly said "yes," indicating that the company is considering a continuation. He later clarified that Take-Two generally explores options for developing all its intellectual properties, but "there's nothing to announce yet."
You never know. In general, the answer is: we are considering using all our intellectual property in the future, but we will not announce anything yet.
The original L.A. Noire was released in May 2011 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and later came to PC. The game told the story of Los Angeles Police Detective Cole Phelps, investigating a series of crimes — from street cases to a large drug network. The project received positive reviews from critics and by 2017 had sold over 7.5 million copies.
