The developers of Nubs! Arena managed to attract attention, but failed to retain the audience and attract new players.

Last May, Rangatang and Glowfish Interactive gave away Nubs! Arena for free on PC via Steam. This way, the online project gathered its first audience, and after the promotion ended, the game went on sale.

At that time, the peak online player count almost reached 8 thousand, but then began to decline — new users were not eager to buy the game. A year later, the developers announced that they would shut down Nubs! Arena servers in June and would soon remove the game from sale on Steam:

We have some unpleasant news today. After much deliberation, we have decided to shut down Nubs! Our small indie team never wanted things to end this way. We aimed to create a fun, chaotic multiplayer party brawler, and while not everything went according to plan, we are incredibly grateful for this journey — to all of you who have been with us […] We sincerely hope that Nubs! brought you at least some joy — whether it was a quick match with friends or a memorable night session with fun fights.

Nubs! Arena is an online action game where tiny warriors, "brawlers," fight in arenas. Matches are designed for 4 to 20 players, but recently the game's peak online player count was around 5 – 10 players.
