Co-op horror shooter in the spirit of "Alien" with a bodycam effect released on Steam
Fighters in No Backup better act quietly, as "something" might hear them.
In May, Serundeox studio released No Backup on PC via Steam. The new title is positioned as a tense co-op first-person horror game. The game uses an unconventional FPS camera, with a "bodycam" (chest-mounted) effect.
Players take on the role of special forces squad members who must survive and find a way out of the location – something will try to prevent them. Fighters will be able to use an environment scanning tool in the spirit of the "Alien" franchise.
For communication, Serundeox suggests using in-game voice chat, but such conversations can be heard by the monster:
With a bodycam, weapons, and a radio, you venture into an abandoned zone. Your mission: get out alive, together. But something is hunting you. Quietly. Relentlessly. One wrong move, and it's over. Use in-game voice chat to coordinate, but choose your words carefully: the monster hears you. Panic, split up, or hesitate for even a second – and someone won't come back.
The No Backup page on Steam is available here. The game is presented in "early access" format. According to Serundeox studio, the game will remain in this status for 6 to 12 months, but the timeline may be adjusted.
