Major releases are coming that will help Sega Sammy Holdings improve its financial performance.

Sega Sammy Holdings, Sega's parent company, has released its financial results for the fiscal year ending March 2026. As reported by GameBiz, the company's revenue from premium video game sales decreased by 12% compared to the previous year — due to weak performance of both new releases and catalog sales.

During the reporting period, Sega released a number of major projects, including Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, Shinobi: Art of Vengeance, Sonic Racing: CrossWorld, console versions of Persona 3 Reload, Football Manager 26, and Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties. However, some of these games, according to the company, did not meet expectations. Revenue from new releases decreased by 11%, and sales of games from the back catalog fell by 12.6%.

Despite a weak financial year, Sega expects a significant recovery in the current fiscal year — from April 2026 to March 2027. The company forecasts an annual revenue growth of 41.8% year-on-year. This forecast is based on four major releases planned for the coming year.

One of the key projects will be a new game from RGG Studio — Stranger Than Heaven, scheduled for release in winter 2026.

Sega has not yet officially revealed the names of the other three major projects, but the company has previously announced Persona 4 Revival, New Virtua Fighter Project, and Total War: WARHAMMER 40,000.
