Players are unhappy with the too-easy demo of Onimusha: Way Of The Sword
Capcom assured that the release version will be much more difficult.
The demo of Capcom's action game Onimusha: Way of the Sword, released last week, has already surpassed 1 million downloads. However, along with positive reviews, players noted one problem — the overly low difficulty and passive behavior of enemies.
Game producer Akihito Kadowaki responded to the community's criticism. He explained that the demo does not reflect the final difficulty level of the project.
We heard feedback that the demo seemed too easy to some players. Firstly, this is just a small fragment of the early part of the story. Additionally, we wanted players to be able to try out Musashi's various techniques, so we intentionally provided him with some skills that are usually unlocked closer to the end of the game. Because of this, some users might have felt a lack of challenge.
According to Kadowaki, in the full version of the game, both bosses and regular demons will pose a much more serious threat.
Similar complaints were previously made about games such as Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and Monster Hunter Wilds. In the case of the latter, Capcom subsequently made changes to the balance after numerous player reviews.
