The third and fourth seasons of "X-Men '97" won't have a two-year wait
The studio managed to overcome the problems that led to the delay of the second season.
Fans of "X-Men '97" apparently won't have to wait two years for the continuation anymore. The animated series' producer, Larry Houston, stated that the long hiatus between the first and second seasons was due to production issues that the studio has now resolved.
"Fortunately, production issues will not recur. There was a huge time gap between the first and second seasons. Management learned from this situation, so this will not happen with the third and fourth seasons. It was a one-time hiccup."

Thus, Houston effectively confirmed the words of Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum, who previously called "X-Men '97" an annual project alongside "Daredevil: Born Again" and "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man."
The premiere of the second season of "X-Men '97" will take place on July 1. The new episodes will continue the story after the first season's finale, in which the team of mutants was scattered across different eras.
