The company is convinced that audiences are ready to flock to cinemas en masse for large-scale superhero events.

Disney CEO Josh D'Amaro stated during a quarterly report to investors that the phenomenal box office success of the film "Spider-Man: A New Day" serves as a powerful positive signal ahead of the December premiere of the blockbuster "Avengers: Doctor Doom".

D'Amaro congratulated Sony, Kevin Feige, and the staff of Marvel Studios on the film's results. In his opinion, the box office proved that audiences have not lost interest in superhero films and are ready to return to cinemas en masse for projects perceived as major events.

"Spider-Man: A New Day" surpassed the $1 billion mark in its first week of release and set several records in North America and worldwide. According to preliminary data from the second weekend, box office receipts have already exceeded $1.26 billion, and the final amount will be higher after full statistics from international markets are received. The final results will be known on Monday.
