Modder Adds Highly Requested Combat Mechanic to Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced
Released in July, Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced on consoles and PC pleased many players. New content was added to the game, and parkour, combat, and other gameplay mechanics were updated.
With the recent 1.0.6 update, it became possible to hide the blowpipe – many had asked for this, but Ubisoft Entertainment has not yet implemented all player requests. A modder under the nickname kamzik123 decided to take matters into their own hands and independently added hand-to-hand combat to the Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag remake.
Due to technical peculiarities, to fight unarmed, the main character will still have to wield a weapon. The modder explained that for Edward Kenway to switch to "hand-to-hand combat," he needs to equip Officer Small Swords. Sword animations will still be used for finishers.
The "Unarmed Combat" modification for Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is distributed free of charge via Nexus Mods.
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced has "mostly positive" reviews on Steam (79% rating after 26 thousand reviews). Ubisoft Entertainment plans to continue releasing updates for the game, with a new "New Game+" mode expected.
