\"Chainsaw Man\" brought Tatsuki Fujimoto worldwide fame, but his work is not limited to that. The anthology \"Tatsuki Fujimoto 17–26,\" which includes the author's early works, will be released soon.
The short anime film Shikaku, which tells the story of a young contract killer who receives an order to eliminate her own client, won the audience award in the short film category at the Bucheon International Animation Festival 2025 in South Korea.
The film is part of the upcoming anthology \"Tatsuki Fujimoto 17–26,\" which brings together eight short stories written by the author between the ages of 17 and 26. Among them are a post-apocalyptic drama about two survivors, teenage stories about finding oneself, a fantastic romantic comedy, a touching tale about a boy and a mermaid, as well as the aforementioned story about a contract killer, and others.
Six studios are involved in the adaptation: ZEXCS, Lapin Track, GRAPH77, 100studio, Studio Kafka, and P.A.WORKS. Seven directors are participating in the project, including Tetsuaki Watanabe (\"Blue Lock\"), Nobuyuki Takeuchi (\"Fireworks, Should We See It from the Side or the Bottom?\""), and Kazuaki Terasawa (\"The Ancient Magus' Bride\").
The anthology will premiere on Prime Video on November 8.
