Opponents of modern technology have targeted a new SEGA game.

SEGA recently announced Crazy Taxi: World Tour. The return of the franchise initially pleased players, but then nuances began to emerge.

The developers opened the game's Steam page, and it became known that the PC version of Crazy Taxi: World Tour would be protected by the infamous Denuvo system. Hackers have long learned to bypass it using the "hypervisor" method, so players do not understand why publishers continue to implement this DRM in games.

Another problematic point is related to artificial intelligence. The Crazy Taxi: World Tour page contains a notice about the use of AI as an "auxiliary tool" in development. The developers emphasize that AI-generated materials will not be used in the game:

SEGA Corporation uses generative AI as an auxiliary tool for developers. We want to provide users with higher quality content and allow developers to focus on creative tasks. Auxiliary tools based on generative AI were used in the development of Crazy Taxi: World Tour. AI-generated materials are not used in the game.

However, for some gamers, the very fact of using AI is a "red flag" – they refuse to buy games that are created using such tools/technologies.

The Crazy Taxi: World Tour page on Steam is available at the following link. The game's release is scheduled for 2027.
