The right to buy a Steam Machine is already being sold for $3000 - resellers won it in a Valve lottery

Some people saw an opportunity to profit from the interest in Steam Machine.

Recently, Valve organized a lottery among users who signed up for the Steam Machine waiting list. Soon, ads for "Steam Machine for sale" began to appear on various marketplaces.

The nuance is that buyers are not offered to buy the device itself, but only the right to purchase it. Some entrepreneurs are selling their place in the queue at a price exceeding the cost of the most expensive 2TB version with a gamepad ($1428).

In some cases, the cost of the right to buy a Steam Machine, including the 512GB version, exceeds three thousand dollars on eBay.

Steam Machine sales are expected to start on June 30, with official prices ranging from $1049 to $1428 depending on the configuration:

• Steam Machine 512GB without gamepad — $1049
• Steam Machine 512GB with gamepad — $1128
• Steam Machine 2TB without gamepad — $1349
• Steam Machine 2TB with gamepad — $1428

In Russia, new Valve devices are not officially sold, but some retailers have already reacted and opened pre-orders for Steam Machine.
