Despite громкие promises from Microsoft and Nintendo about joint projects, Switch 2 has still not received games from Xbox during a period when the industry is experiencing peak activity. Former head of Nintendo of America Reggie Fils-Aimé openly expressed bewilderment.
He recalled that Phil Spencer stated back in April that the new Nintendo console would become an "important part of the Xbox strategy." But so far, reality is far from words.
Only Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 has been released on Switch 2, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is coming up. This is clearly not enough for the holiday season and "Black Friday."
According to Fils-Aimé, now was the perfect time for громкие announcements like Halo, Gears of War, or Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which could attract the attention of players. He called the situation disappointing, especially after numerous statements from Microsoft about cooperation.
"Some of these games could well be adapted for Switch 2," he said in an interview with The Game Business. According to him, the console's performance is enough to run large AAA projects.
Despite talk of the end of the "console war," the lack of real partnership between Microsoft and Nintendo again risks splitting the market.
