Take-Two's legal department continues to monitor various projects by fans of the franchise.
In February, modders from White Trash Games presented a PC version of GTA: Vice City Stories.
The project was titled Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories 20th Anniversary Edition and attracted the attention of not only players. Take-Two's lawyers recently responded, and the trailer was blocked on YouTube:
The video cannot be viewed due to a copyright infringement complaint from Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc.
The developers of GTA Vice City Stories 20th AE addressed the community. They plan to continue working, but will publish content less frequently:
Friends, we have some not very cheerful news... Unfortunately, YouTube removed all videos from our channel at the publisher's request due to its copyright policy. We really do not want to lose our VK group and you, so we are forced to take safety measures. In the near future, content will be released less frequently to minimize the risk of this group being blocked. Of course, it is not as popular as our YouTube channel (where there were more than 2 thousand subscribers), but nevertheless, it is very dear to us. Stay with us, and we will try to continue keeping you informed about events, but in a safer mode. Thank you for being with us!
Grand Theft Auto Vice City Stories 20th Anniversary Edition is a fan-made port of the game to PC:
[The original GTA Vice City Stories] was originally released for PlayStation Portable (PSP), and a year later for PlayStation 2 (PS2). But, to the great disappointment of fans of the series, this installment was never officially released on PC. Our team decided to take matters into its own hands and give new players the opportunity to get acquainted with this game, and veterans to once again immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the neon \"City of Vice\" on the people's platform.
