Counter-Strike 2 brings back CS:GO's "smooth camera shake" - Valve updates animations and limits item trading
Developers revised the offer limit and fixed some textures.
In April, Valve introduced a series of updates for the competitive shooter Counter-Strike 2. The developers improved animations and fixed several bugs.
In addition, the update affected the in-game camera — now it shakes less during "spraying" (shooting):
Adjusted camera movement during recoil to more accurately match CS:GO. Bullet trajectory calculations remain the same. Now, camera movement when the aim is knocked off due to external reasons (for example, when a player is shot) occurs completely independently of network latency. On the server, aim knock-off affects bullet trajectories instantly, as before.
Some other changes:
- Trade offers that include Counter-Strike 2 items can now contain no more than 1,000 elements.
- Adjusted surface smoothing in places where a player can stand on very thin ledges.
- Resolved an issue where characters were assigned incorrect textures.
- Slightly adjusted first-person model animations.
- Resolved issues where transitioning to crouch in mid-air occurred instantly.
- Fixed a bug where characters on the Most Valuable Player panel were not reset correctly.
A comparison of the "shake" in CS2 before and after the update can be viewed at the following link.
