The creators of "The Last of Us" found the leader of the "Seraphites" - Peter Sarsgaard joined the cast of the third season

Another famous actor has joined the work on The Last of Us series adaptation.

Deadline reported that the cast of "The Last of Us" series has been expanded. Peter Sarsgaard has joined the project.

The actor previously starred in the new "The Batman" (2022), "The Magnificent Seven", and "Memory". In "The Last of Us", he got the role of Amon - one of the leaders of the "Seraphites" cult. This is a new character; he did not appear in the Naughty Dog game (The Last of Us Part II).

A Deadline journalist noted that the information about Sarsgaard getting a role in the series appeared against the backdrop of a filming break. The planned break, it is assumed, will last about a month - the pause coincides with the FIFA World Cup. The series is being filmed in Vancouver, and it is one of the host cities for the tournament, which will attract football fans.

The continuation of "The Last of Us" series does not yet have an exact release date.

Recently, gamers remembered The Last of Us for another reason - former TLOU developers presented the shooter Crossfire. The debut promo reminded some of the Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon franchise.
