Marvel is preparing the largest crossover of the cinematic universe with many characters, but part of the cast will be a surprise for the audience.
According to insider Alex Perez, Marvel plans to hide part of the cast of "Avengers: Judgment Day" until the premiere. He spoke about this during a question and answer session for The Cosmic Circus resource. According to Perez, the list of heroes and performers is wider than officially announced, but the studio decided to keep the intrigue: "Even if I named names, we would just be stuck waiting: will they be or will they not be. But, let's just say, most of the unannounced characters have already appeared in rumors from me and other sources."
This policy of secrecy fuels rumors about the participation of actors. Fans are discussing the possible return of Chris Evans (Captain America) after reports of filming at a location reminiscent of Steve Rogers and Peggy Carter's house, as well as his appearance in public in excellent shape. In addition, a photo with Tobey Maguire, taken near the studio where filming is taking place, has sparked rumors about his appearance as Spider-Man from universe 96283. However, most of these rumors will probably remain unconfirmed until the premiere.
As a reminder, Marvel has officially confirmed the participation of more than 20 actors, including Robert Downey Jr. (Doctor Doom), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Pedro Pascal (Mister Fantastic), Letitia Wright (Shuri), Alan Cumming (Nightcrawler), Channing Tatum (Gambit), Ian McKellen (Magneto) and Patrick Stewart (Charles Xavier). However, according to Perez, filming recently took place in Australia with actors whose names Marvel has not yet revealed.
"Judgment Day" is directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, who previously directed "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Endgame". The script was written by Michael Waldron and Stephen McFeely.
The premiere of "Avengers: Judgment Day" is scheduled for December 18, 2026.
