In August, Tarsier Studios presented the first 13 minutes of gameplay of the new cooperative horror-adventure Reanimal. But, as it turned out, the fragment did not include the initial scenes of the story. Now the studio has shown the full introduction.
The game begins with the Boy finding himself alone in the middle of the water. Saving the Girl, he unexpectedly receives "gratitude" — she grabs him by the throat. After that, the heroes unite and set off to find their friends, making their way through the thick fog.
Narrative Director Dave Mervik noted that Reanimal supports local co-op and relies on "shared tension" — a feeling familiar to anyone who has watched horror in a company. Later, the pair ends up in a location where, as shown earlier, terrifying creatures live.
Reanimal will be released in the first quarter of 2026 on Xbox Series X|S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2. A free cooperative demo will be available from October 13 at the Steam Next Fest.
