The third season of "One-Punch Man" failed to please fans with improved visual quality.
"One-Punch Man" is back after a six-year hiatus, but the third season, which is once again being handled by J.C. Staff, has not lived up to fans' expectations in terms of animation quality. Already in the first episodes, the animation seemed flat and inexpressive to many fans, which caused a new wave of criticism towards the studio.
However, not everyone is ready to put up with this situation and decided to take matters into their own hands. With the help of artificial intelligence, they began to "improve" the animation on their own.
Clips using the Sora model, showing improved versions of the scenes, have already begun to appear online. For example, user @koko_shishi_022 posted a comparison of the original frames and those processed using Sora, where additional movements and gestures appear, creating a more dynamic picture.
Fans are divided. Some consider this approach an acceptable way to fix shortcomings, while others warn that it will only exacerbate the problem, creating an artificial and unnatural picture. They prefer "manual" quality, even if not as high, but more alive.
Earlier, the director of the third season, Shinpei Nagai, and the animator of "One Piece", Vincent Chansard, stood up for J.C. Staff, explaining that it is trying to survive in the face of fierce competition in the Japanese animation industry, when large corporations are luring away the best specialists with high fees.
