Classic Denuvo crack in Stellar Blade proved more effective than hypervisor - performance comparison emerges
Players now have the opportunity to explore several PC versions of Stellar Blade.
The PC version of Stellar Blade was protected with Denuvo. Earlier, tech enthusiasts bypassed it using a "hypervisor" method, and recently, an "old-school" crack emerged.
Hacker under the nickname voices38 cracked Denuvo in Stellar Blade. The version of the game he presented works without the PlayStation Network SDK.
The author of the YouTube channel GAMESMARK decided to test three versions of Stellar Blade – the licensed (Steam) version, the version cracked with a "hypervisor," and the solution from voices38.
For many gamers, the result was predictable: the full Denuvo crack proved more effective – on average, it managed to achieve 146 FPS when playing at 1080p resolution on "low" settings with DLAA. The "hypervisor" version averaged 141 FPS, and the Steam version 137 FPS.
When playing in 4K resolution on "very high" settings with NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 in "Quality" mode, all three versions showed roughly equal results for some time – an average of 65+ FPS. However, by the end of the test run, the average for the "hypervisor" version dropped to 60 FPS, while the Steam version and voices38's "crack" maintained an average of 65 frames.
